Conference of Presidents meets the incoming Latvian Presidency in Riga
Created on 04.12.2014.Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament (EP) are meeting today with the Latvian officials in Riga to discuss the incoming Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), scheduled for the first half of 2015. The Conference met with the Latvian Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma and the government ministers this morning. The officials discussed the priorities of the Latvian Presidency: competitive, digital and engaged Europe.
EC and the government of Latvia agree on intense cooperation to achieve presidency's priorities
Created on 03.12.2014.On Wednesday, December 3 in Brussels, during a bilateral meeting, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma and President of the EC Jean-Claude Juncker discussed the priorities of the Latvian presidency, as well as the action needed to ensure successful implementation of a new Investment Plan for Europe during the presidency, and in order the economies and residents of the EU countries would feel real benefits as soon as possible.
Cabinet of Ministers to present the priorities of the Latvian Presidency
Created on 01.12.2014.While preparing to take over the tasks of the presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Prime Minister of Latvia Laimdota Straujuma and ministers will pay a working visit to Brussels on 3 December. Joint work session between the College of Commissioners and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia as well as several bilateral meetings of the Prime Minister of Latvia and the other ministers are planned during the visit.
Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament to visit Latvia
Created on 28.11.2014.Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament will visit Latvia on 3-4 December, 2014 to discuss the upcoming Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union with Latvian officials. The delegation will include the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, for whom this will be the first visit to Latvia.
More than 40 experts from Latvia and EU will discuss the incoming Latvian Presidency
